Recovery

Long-term support and healing

Healing comes when a woman is safe and has all of her basic needs met.

STABILIZATION

After we have helped a woman access safe housing, clothing, food, hygiene products, and she (and her children) are consistently safe for a season, she will be able to move toward recovery.

Trauma-informed care

It is very important that the recovery program she pursues specializes in trafficking-specific protocols, which would include highly skilled trauma therapists and support groups. Recovery from complex PTSD and chronic stress takes time.

long-term SUPPORT

As a woman is healing, we offer ongoing support, which includes helping her find safe employment, childcare, apply for government benefits, acquire state ID, and anything else we can do to help her move forward in her recovery process. Even after a woman transitions from the Safe House, she will continue to have access to all of the resources at our Resource Center for as long as she needs it.

Help women heal.
