Disrupting Traffick Liberation Summit

  • Sozo Coffeeshop 1314 Jones Street Omaha, NE, 68102 United States (map)

Join us for an informative, day-long event featuring front-line anti-trafficking abolitionists from around the world. Disrupting Traffick is hosting our first annual Liberation Summit. Throughout this day long event, there will be three Key-Note Speakers, including the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Office for Victims of Crime 2016 Special Courage Award Recipient, Kim Case, Becky Rasmussen of Call to Freedom, an aftercare program for trafficking survivors in Sioux Falls, SD, and Celeste McGee, Founder and Executive Director of Dton Naam Ministries, an organization working with transgender boys in Bangkok Thailand.

This event will also feature break-out sessions and a panel discussion with some local leaders featuring Dr. Ron Hampton, who put together the report on human trafficking for the Govenor's Task Force in 2015 and Jeannie Hughes, a Nationally Certified Counselor and  a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) in the state of Nebraska.

We hope this event will be a time to inspire, encourage, and unite Omaha's service community.

This a free event open to service providers and the public. Please RSVP if you plan to attend
