About Us
We Believe
Each person is valuable.
We believe each person is innately worthy, simply because they are human. This idea upsets the foundation of a system built on devaluing people.
Together is better.
We believe in collaborating as a community. Instead of replicating the work of other local organizations, we come alongside them to fill the gaps that exist in our area.
Anyone can make an impact.
Every small action can help end the trafficking cycle in Nebraska. The simple act of baking cookies can be transformational in the life of a woman who needs your care today.
Freedom can be found through family.
We believe that the normal rhythms of everyday life can be healing. Through community housing, families wrap their arms around our clients and provide a support system.
Our Approach
Informed
We learn from organizations that are doing things well. Then we adjust the approach to fit our situation. Our team also relies on detailed research to develop our strategy.
Local
Many people are surprised to learn that trafficking happens where we live. We have spent time learning how to meet the specific needs of women in our state.
Experienced
Our staff and board have experience in key areas like academic research, clinical therapy, and more. Many team members have decades of experience in their area of expertise.
